Grants Available
Grants between £1,000 - £5,000 will be available.
Who can apply?
- Constituted voluntary organisations and community groups that have charitable and/or non-profit status.
- Organisations that are located within the 7km kilometre radius of the Curryfree Wind Farm.
Applications are invited for projects that address the following themes:
- Projects that increase local participation through recreational, cultural or environmental activities.
- Projects that provide educational opportunities.
- Projects that promote health and well-being.
- Projects that promote energy efficiency/sustainability.
- Minor capital works or equipment purchases that help to bring facilities up to modern standards (portable IT equipment may considered only in exceptional circumstances which should be outlined in the application).
- Transport solutions that help to include isolated people or groups and encourage greater sharing of community facilities and resources.
Please note within these themes, priority will be given where projects:
- address issues of rural isolation.
- benefit people experiencing disadvantage or social exclusion.
- increase the use of existing community space and sustainable venues.
