Overview
The awards are limited to Community Projects. These are defined as projects aimed at helping the immediate community in which the projects are based (i.e. if a project helps only the community within a 10 mile radius of the applicant’s base), and is staffed by members of that community. These projects should be non-profit generating and should not be initiated by national registered charities.
Projects should benefit the community at large, rather than individuals. Projects should be UK based and not international. A project may receive additional support from registered charities and government initiatives. As such, if a project is supported by an existing registered charity, but the project itself is not a registered charity, an application can be made. Please be aware that professional fees, and projects which do not benefit the wider community cannot be funded by this programme.
Projects should be sustainable and not be focussed on political and/ or religious recruitment and must involve a tangible benefit aimed at inspiring, helping and improving the local community.
