Overview

The aim of the Community Services Multi-Annual Grant Scheme is to allocate funding (between £500 and £10,000 annually for three consecutive years) to assist in the development of the voluntary and community sector working for the benefit of the Borough's residents. In doing so it aims to enhance the Borough as a place to live, work and visit.

1. All project applications are to utilise a 'Business Plan approach'. Plans must detail at least the following areas:

  • Organisation's Aim and longer-term Vision
  • Objectives to be achieved during the funding period applied for
  • Performance Indicators and Evaluation/Review Plan
  • Resource implications including detailed costs
  • Funding breakdown (all sources)

2. Each project application must explicitly and substantively illustrate how it addresses at least one of the following community development themes:

  • Research & Consultation – aimed at identifying local community needs and aspirations
  • Training &/or Education &/or Counselling – which facilitates capacity building at local community level, and empowers participants to contribute effectively and verifiably to the process of community development and socialisation
  • Community Activity – which contributes to the development and sustainability of local community infrastructure and related processes of participation and social inclusion
