More than ever, voluntary and community organisations are becoming involved in the delivery of public services. Organisations are involved in the delivery of services in a wide range of areas including; disability, homelessness, education, young people and children. For organisations that choose to get involved in the delivery of public services there are both risks and rewards. This research set out to examine the reality of delivering public services in Northern Ireland and to measure the balance of risk and reward.
