The Role
The Finance Manager’s role will support and implement the effective running of the Finance Department, in order to provide accurate and timely financial and management information, specifically in relation to Purchase Ledger, Budgeting, Management Accounts and Statutory Financial Statements, in accordance with the requirements of the organisation.

Contract:
Fixed Term to 30th April 2025

Location:
Head Office, Horizon House, Newtownabbey, BT36 6WB

Salary:
£35,006 to £43,493 (remuneration will be in accordance with qualifications and experience)

Hours:
37.5 hours per week

Essential Criteria

  • Either a professional accountancy (CCAB or CIMA) qualification plus 2 years post qualification experience in the following areas:
    • Technical experience around budgeting and forecasting.
    • Management Accounts / variance analysis.
    • Preparation of statutory financial statements for audit purposes.
    • Operating / overseeing payroll.

OR

  • 5 years’ experience of finance working across a breadth of areas, such as payments, payroll, income, management accounts, statutory accounts and business partnering.

 

  • Demonstrable experience in:
    • Working with computerized accounting systems.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of applications including advanced competency in Excel.
    • Communicating effectively with a proven ability to influence and negotiate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
       

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience working in a charity within finance, to include the preparation of Statutory accounts under Charities SORP.
  • Have a full valid driving license or access to a means of transport to undertake duties associated with the role.
  • Experience of finance systems upgrade, including preparation of procedures and timely implementation
